As the city of Burnet’s administrative services and airport manager, Adrienne Feild landed in a career that fits her.
“I love helping people,” she said. “I think that’s what’s been so great about every job I have had since I moved here: I’ve been able to help people.”
Her helping nature is why The Picayune Magazine readers and KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune listeners voted her the Locals Love Us favorite city employee in the Burnet area.
In her administrative services role, Feild handles a number of things, including working with the Burnet Economic Development Corporation and helping to plan, organize, and execute city-sponsored events. It keeps her busy and ensures she has a different challenge just about every day. As the airport manager, Feild is more behind the scenes, making sure the folks at the airport have what they need.
The 2011 Tarleton State University graduate moved to Burnet with her husband, Tom Feild, a Burnet native.
It’s been a good thing, she said.
“I love how it’s still a small town,” said Feild, who grew up in Bastrop.
After moving to Burnet, Feild first worked for the county in the county clerk’s office and then the auditor’s office.
She began working for the city of Burnet in the finance department before moving to her current position.
“I’m still learning a bit,” Feild said about the administrative services job. “But the best thing about this job is helping people.”
