The Off-Broadway sensation “The Marvelous Wonderettes” runs Feb. 2-18 at the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 FM 2147 West in Cottonwood Shores. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Jan. 28.

“The Marvelous Wonderettes” is a musical journey back to the 1950s and ‘60s with a blend of nostalgia, laughter, and timeless tunes.

Audiences first meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy, four spirited girls with musical dreams as big as their crinoline skirts, at their 1958 Springfield High School prom. The girl group’s serenades set the stage for a heartwarming journey. The opening act is filled with classic 1950s hits such as “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.”

In Act II, The Marvelous Wonderettes reunite at their 10-year high school reunion, showcasing the enduring strength of their friendship.

With over 30 classic ’50s and ’60s songs, “The Marvelous Wonderettes” is a grooving, moving trip down memory lane. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the nonprofit theater. Tickets are $27 plus fees for adults and $17 plus fees for youths.

An opening night gala on Feb. 2 includes complimentary food and drinks before the show.

“The Marvelous Wonderettes” is underwritten by the TND Family Foundation. It is the third show in the HCCT’s Season 38. For tickets and more information, visit TheHCCT.org or call 830-798-8944.
