There are five accommodations from which to choose: the Sky Loft Suite, the Blue Heron Suite, the Garden Cottage, the Sunset Guest House, and the Treehouse Yurt.
The most popular one, by far, is the treehouse. It’s a luxurious yurt high up in the trees. There’s a separate bathroom outfitted with a heart-shaped tub and rain shower.
Rainbow Hearth stands out for its grounds and amenities.
The hiking trails have gorgeous views as they traverse meadows and junipers. A path takes you to the property’s highest vantage point, Medicine Rock, a spot to relax and meditate.

The spa room, open 24/7, is outfitted with a large hot tub with five different therapeutic jets. The room itself has skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of Lake Buchanan and the Texas Hill Country. The sanctuary encourages guests to soak in the buff with the freedom to lock the door and hang a “do not disturb” sign for privacy.
The kitchen is stocked with snacks such as homemade chocolate. All meals are prepared in-house, so guests can opt for an all-organic breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The retreat grows its own sprouts and microgreens. There also is a library, a piano, a guitar, binoculars, and a range of teas from which to choose.
Two healing rooms offer a range of bodywork techniques and therapies, including deep tissue massage, hot stones, aroma therapy, breathing techniques, energy balancing, and vibrational therapy.
Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary and Retreat Center invites its guests to explore nature, find peace within themselves, and appreciate the things that don’t ask to be appreciated. If you’re looking for total relaxation, this is the place to stay.
