Spring is almost here and that means the Highland Lakes will be blooming with a variety of multicolored wildflowers. Whether you’re interested in filling your social media feed with photos of bluebonnets or taking in the bright yellow coneflowers, the new Wildflower Scenic Route Map is the perfect guide.
Distributed by Visit Marble Falls, the map outlines five scenic trails dedicated to a different wildflower, each starting in Marble Falls. Trails, which span from one to two hours of drive time, cover the Highland Lakes with stops in Burnet, Bertram, Spicewood, and Buchanan Dam.
The map also includes a number of destinations, such as Spicewood Vineyards, 1419 CR 409 in Spicewood, and Lookout Mountain, a local landmark just off of RR 1431 in Kingsland.
Maps can be picked up in person at the Marble Falls Visitor Center, 100 Avenue G, or viewed online.
Visit the Highland Lakes Wildflowers Guide for flower identifications, features, and more.
