Belóved Gallery highlights early work of Akiane Kramarik

Belóved Gallery, the Highland Lakes’ newest art venue, opened in April 2023 with an exhibit of the early work of 28-year-old artist Akiane Kramarik. The gallery is located at 206 Avenue H in Marble Falls.
Tours start with a short film about Kramarik’s artistic beginnings followed by an exhibit detailing the story of her “Prince of Peace” painting, accompanied with photographs of the artist as a child. Guests end the tour studying the full exhibition of 10 of Kramarik’s most beloved pieces painted from ages 8 to 16.
While admission to the gallery is free, reservations are required.
The world-renowned artist started painting at 4 years old after claiming to have been visited by Jesus. In the aftermath of her faithful vision, Kramarik began crafting beautiful works as the lore of her ability grew.
Her popularity reached a crescendo in 2003 when she was 8 years old and appeared  on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to detail her artistic journey. In the interview, the young artist shared with the audience her most well-known creation, a portrait of Jesus titled “The Prince of Peace.”
After being stolen later that year and retrieved damaged, the painting was restored to its former glory. Following the restoration, the beloved portrait was accidentally sold and hidden from public view for almost two decades as part of a private collection.
Now, “Prince of Peace” is the crown jewel of Belóved Gallery’s exhibit, which also includes “Dreams,” “The Missing Years,” and “Turquoise Eyes,” among others. Poems authored by Kramarik line the walls of the exhibit.
During the grand opening, which is sold out, Kramarik will hold a book signing and question-and-answer session on April 6. Reservations for the next available time slots can be made on the gallery’s website.
The gallery is next door to Belóved Cafe, which serves a full coffee menu and sandwiches and salads.
