Marble Falls wears its Western traditions with cowboy pride every rodeo season. The 2026 Marble Falls Rodeo rides into the Charley Taylor Arena on July 17-18. Jimmy Hoyle’s Cadillac Rodeo Company brings the bulls, broncs, and barrels, and the cowboys and cowgirls bring the grit.
Each night’s action starts at 8 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for ages 16 and older, $15 for ages 7-15, and free for kids 6 and younger. Tickets are cash only and can be purchased at the gate. The Burnet County 4-H Club will sell non-alcoholic refreshments, but patrons are welcome to bring coolers with their own beverages. The Charley Taylor Arena is located at 3053 U.S. 281 south of the bridge.
Rodeos began in the 19th century as competitions between ranch hands. The first Marble Falls Rodeo was in 1957. So, what’s the secret to sport’s enduring appeal for old hands and newcomers alike?
Organizers predict a total crowd of around 4,000 people watching about 75 rodeo athletes competing for cash prizes and belt buckles in team roping, bareback bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and more.
Kids ages 4-8 (and weighing less than 55 pounds) can get in on the action in a mutton-busting contest each night, hopping on the back of a sheep and trying not to get tossed. Register in person at Blair’s Western Wear, 2501 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls.
On Friday, July 17, is the steer saddling competition for local first responders in which a team of three will try to saddle a steer with one person riding it across the finish line.
Friday is also Pink Out Night for cancer awareness. Add pink to your rodeo getup to show support. The Marble Falls Rodeo queen will be crowned that night, too.
Each night’s events end with a concert and dance at the outdoor stage behind the arena. The Southern Underground Band performs on Friday night; the Adam Fears Band takes the stage on Saturday. The shows are included in rodeo admission.
