The 12th annual Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay Resort is April 3-5, 2026. Hot-air balloons from across the country will descend on the Highland Lakes during the Easter weekend festival which takes place at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Ranch.
The resort offers special overnight festival packages as well as a festival day pass option. Friday and Sunday activities are for resort guests, while day pass holders can enjoy two sessions of fun on Saturday.
Saturday morning festivities begin at 6:30 a.m. with a hot air balloon glow followed by a helicopter Easter egg drop, skydivers, breakfast bites, cocktails, and more wrapping up at 10 a.m. Giant, colorful kites, skydivers, and parachute performers add to the fun of the Saturday evening session which runs from 4 – 9 p.m. as Great American Kites, skydivers, and powered parachutes take to the air. Activities during this session include a rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, pony rides, and inflatables for kids. Face painters, balloon artists, henna artists, food trucks, and live music by The Outsiders are a wonderful complement to the hot air balloons.

- Friday, April 3—VIP BBQ & Balloons event at night
- Saturday, April 4—Morning session (6:30-10 a.m.) includes a balloon glow, helicopter Easter egg drop, skydivers, breakfast, cocktails, and more. Evening session (4-9 p.m.) includes pony rides, a petting zoo, animal shows, food trucks, live music, a balloon glow, and more.
- Sunday, April 5—8 a.m. balloon viewing on the lawn. A delightful Easter Brunch (9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) rounds out weekend festivities.
