The Burnet County Rodeo celebrates a milestone in 2026 —sixty years. The 60th annual rodeo takes place May 8-9 at the Burnet County Fairgrounds and Rodeo Arena. Whether this is your first rodeo or you’re a seasoned pro, you are going to love this small town rodeo experience.
Gates open both nights at 5 p.m. with the rodeo starting promptly at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 1301 Houston Clinton Drive in Burnet.

Advance tickets are offered at the Burnet Chamber of Commerce, Blair’s Western Wear, and online for a discount. Full price tickets will be available at the gate, adults $20, age 6-10 $10, 5 and under are free. Concessions will be available at the event. No coolers allowed.
The 2026 event includes classic rodeo events like barrel racing, calf roping, steer wrestling, and bull riding. Along with the serious stuff are crowd favorite kid events including a calf scramble, shoe scramble, and mutton busting. And, is it even a real rodeo without a rodeo clown? Rodeo clown royalty Leon Coffee, a Pro Rodeo hall-of-famer from nearby Blanco, will do what he does best– bring the laughs.
A dance with live music will take place each night following the rodeo.

Friday is Patriotic Night, show your American pride by wearing red, white, and blue. Music by The Jody Proctor Band fuels the rodeo dance.
The theme on Saturday night is Tough Enough to Wear Pink to raise cancer awareness. A portion of the proceeds from the night are donated to a local cancer foundation. The rodeo dance live music will be performed by Ben Watson and the Hired Guns.
