The Knot Hole in Burnet

The Knot Hole in Burnet made a Texas Monthly list of small-town resale shops that are worth a visit. Its unique vendor booths seem to go on forever. It is one of many Highland Lakes thrifting hotspots. Staff photo by Suzanne Freeman

Shopping at resale stores in the Highland Lakes is like going on a treasure hunt. Each has a unique array of antiques, vintage clothing and jewelry, hard-to-find housewares, and collectible toys and knick-knacks — all at bargain prices.

Peruse a plethora of shops in Burnet, Llano, and Marble Falls and the smaller communities in between. You can thrift all day and still have a town left over for tomorrow’s adventure.

And the treasures you’ll find! While on assignment, this reporter snagged an amazing bamboo salad bowl with utensils at The Knot Hole, which made a Texas Monthly list of small-town resale shops that are worth a visit. The Burnet store is one of many Highland Lakes thrift and antique stores you can read about below.
