Follow your nose to Blanco each June for one of the sweetest summer events: the Lavender Festival, which celebrates the ancient plant that grew roots in the Texas Hill Country. The 2025 festival is June 6-8.

Most activities are centered around the old Blanco County Courthouse, 300 Main St. in Blanco, including the Lavender Market, which features a variety of plant-based products, Texas-made foods and beverages, and crafts.

Enjoy live music at nearby Bindseil Park on Pecan Street.

You can also visit the state’s first commercial lavender farm, Hill Country Lavender, 8241 FM 165, and see how the plant put Blanco County on the map.
