Celebrate the bluebonnet bloom during Bluem 2026 on March 21 at Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area in Spicewood. The Lower Colorado River Authority park is a renowned bluebonnet-viewing location each spring.
The bloom-filled event is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and features games, a petting zoo, face painting, outdoor recreational activities, food, and vendors.
General admission for ages 4 and older includes: park entry — $15 for day access to Muleshoe Bend and trails, rock climbing, archery, roping, petting zoo, and face painting.

Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area is located along Lake Travis at 2820 CR 414 in Spicewood. It offers miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking as well as campsites, a boat ramp and fishing, and QuietKat electric bike rentals.
