Hill Country Community Theatre opens Season 41 with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder on September 25. The show runs weekends at the Cottonwood Shores theater through October 11.
The story unfolds in Edwardian England as a penniless but charming young man learns he is eighth in line to the title and riches of Earl of Highhurst. The fast-paced musical comedy follows as the heir schemes to hasten his way to the inheritance in what promises to be a hilariously unforgettable performance. The audience will notice a strong family resemblance in the doomed heirs standing in the way — all seven rolls are played by one actor!
Opening night of the show, September 25, HCCT will also be celebrating the start of Season 41 with its Opening Night Gala prior to the performance. Guests are welcome to arrive beginning at 6:30 p.m. for complimentary food and drinks.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., September 25 – October 11. The Hill Country Community Theatre is located at 4003 W. FM 2147 in Cottonwood Shores. Tickets are available on the HCCT website or by calling the box office at 830-798-8944.
