Round Mountain Cider Mill, one of the few cider mills in Texas, truly has it all, from live music to kid-friendly activities, it’s a venue that really does have something for the whole family.

Located at 222 Lee Lane in Round Mountain, its central location draws visitors from across the rural Hill Country and the Austin metropolitan area. This is the latest addition to the Highland Lakes suite of venues, having opened Memorial Day weekend 2025.

“We’re true, fresh-pressed cider, nothing added, no preservatives, no sugars, whatever comes out of the apple goes in the bottle,” Kiel Arnone, a spokesman for the Round Mountain Cider Mill, told 101 Highland Lakes. “The biggest vision and goal is to make this a place for community– for people in surrounding areas to come together, bring their families, enjoy good food, good company, good music, and have a place to hang out,” Kiel said.

Food and drinks

For the 21+ crowd,  the tap room offers 50 different drink options, including Lone Star State local Austin Eastciders. Patrons can put a card on file, get a wristband, and scan at the taps to pay for drinks by the ounce.

The mill is also a food truck hub, with vendors doling out tacos, burgers, pizza, and hot dogs, with more options on the way. Plans are underway for a full kitchen expansion.

Outside, children can enjoy a playground and bounce house while parents unwind with a drink. In the red building at the back, the mill churns out fresh cider and donuts. A window lets visitors see the cider-making process firsthand. The building also houses a retail space, where guests can buy cider, donuts, and merchandise.

Music and venues

Fridays through Sundays feature live music from popular local acts as well as big time performers. They have fun, themed events such as a wrestling takeover weekend, and Kentucky Derby day. Check their calendar for the latest events.

The adjacent event center serves as a venue for corporate gatherings, private parties, or even wedding receptions. During concerts, it transforms into a VIP area, complete with a private bar and space to mingle.

The cider mill also features a wedding area, complete with an on-site wedding planner and event coordinator to ease the stress of planning.

Additional events, like Sunday vendor markets, add to the variety of experiences available.
