The Hill Country Community Theatre marks four decades of unforgettable storytelling and community connection with its Season 40 lineup, running from October 2025 through August 2026. Productions include beloved musicals, side-splitting comedies, powerful dramas, and five special events.

“This season is more than a collection of shows: It’s a tribute to 40 years of community, creativity, and the people who have made this theatre what it is today,” said HCCT Executive Director Heidi Melton in a media release announcing the shows. “We can’t wait to welcome returning patrons and new faces as we celebrate the past and look boldly into the future.”

“Young Frankenstein”

Oct. 17-Nov. 2

The 2025-26 season jolts to life with “Young Frankenstein” in October. Mel Brooks’ monstrously funny musical adaptation of his classic film brings madcap comedy to life. The story follows the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein as he tries (unsuccessfully) to escape his family’s legacy.

All performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the nonprofit community theater, 4003 FM 2147 West in Cottonwood Shores.

The rest of the lineup is:

“The Winter Wonderettes”

Set at a 1968 holiday party, this festive jukebox musical features the beloved girl group The Wonderettes as they deliver holiday cheer with songs and laughs galore.

“Lend Me A Tenor”

This Tony Award-winning farce spins a hilarious tale of mistaken identity, opera, and chaos when a famous opera tenor is wrongly believed dead. Chaos and slamming doors ensue in this comedy of operatic proportions.

Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning dramedy follows two brothers sent to live with their strict grandmother in 1942 Yonkers, uncovering the pain and humor in family dysfunction.
