Love is in the air in the Highland Lakes as couples finalize their Valentine’s Day plans. With so many wonderful and idyllic restaurants in the area, it can be hard to pick the perfect match for you and your special someone.

Here are some of our favorite spots for a romantic outing:

Bay View Restaurant & Bar

4401 Cottonwood Drive in Cottonwood Shores, 830-637-7417

Enjoy high-quality ingredients while experiencing the restaurant’s one-of-a-kind views of lakes Marble Falls and LBJ. The menu includes steak, seafood, sandwiches, and burgers.

Bella Sera Italian Restaurant

701 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, 830-798-2661 or 830-798-2665

With authentic New York-style Italian fare, an intimate dining space, and attentive staff, Bella Sera fits the bill for Valentine’s Day or any romantic dinner. Top off your meals with delicious desserts, including cannoli and tiramisu.

Ellera at Flat Creek Estate

24912 Travis Peak Trail in Marble Falls, 512-267-6310

Dine on Northern Italian delights in a rustic, Tuscan atmosphere. Pair a bottle of wine with delicious pasta and savor the moment with your loved one.

Fiesta Winery

309 Main St., Suite #9, in Marble Falls, 830-637-7702

For lighter fare, open a bottle of wine and enjoy a charcuterie board at the Fiesta Winery tasting room in downtown Marble Falls. Guests may sit inside or outside at Old Oak Square.

Ginger & Spice

909 Second St. in Marble Falls, 830-693-7171

This intimate location can cure your Thai cuisine cravings. Try the egg rolls, seafood, curry, or noodle dishes.

Hooper’s

1010 King Court in Kingsland, 325-288-6022

For lovers who share a love of horror films, Hooper’s makes the final cut. Formerly Grand Central Cafe, the newly renamed and renovated restaurant pays homage to director Tope Hooper and his 1974 cult classic “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.” The Victorian home-turned-eatery was the actual setting in the film. It has been restored beautifully and is a great date night spot, even for the more squeamish.

The Overlook Restaurant at Canyon of the Eagles

16942 RR 2341 in Burnet, 512-334-2070

Scenic views combined with beautiful sunsets and savory American favorites put The Overlook Restaurant on the date night bucket list.

River City Grille

700 First St. in Marble Falls, 830-798-9909

Opened in 2003, River City Grille continues to be a great destination for residents and travelers alike stopping for a bite next to beautiful Lake Marble Falls. Longtime couples will love its casual, comfortable atmosphere. Chow down on steaks, seafood, tacos, and dessert while watching the sun set over the lake.

Waterfront Bar and Grill

106 Cove West in Horseshoe Bay, 877-611-0112

Enjoy a casual “culinary adventure” on Lake LBJ with imaginative starters and sides and main dishes of beef, chicken, and seafood. A daily happy hour is from 4-6 p.m.

If you want to get away from the crowds, order your meals to go and find the perfect picnic spot or a place with a view.

This is by no means a complete list of date night options in the Highland Lakes. Visit the Eat & Drink Guide for more or leave your favorite spot in the comment section below.
