Lakeside Park on the shores of Lake Marble Falls is a year-round recreation destination. With a wide lawn of lush green grass and no shortage of sunshine, it’s a place the entire family can enjoy.

As its name suggests, Lakeside Park offers plenty of water activities. Wriggle your toes in the sandy beach or jump into Lake Marble Falls. The park includes a roped-off swimming area so you can enjoy the water without worrying about boats and other craft.

If swimming in the lake isn’t your thing, hit the nearby Marble Falls city swimming pool, complete with diving board, waterslide, and wading pool with a mushroom water feature for the little ones. The pool operates during the summer from May to late August.

Or, drop a fishing line along the bank and catch dinner. Bring a lawn chair to wait for a bite.

Lakeside Park is also an easy walk to nearby Johnson Park, where you can hit the Backbone Creek hike-and-bike trail for a nature stroll in the city.

PARK EVENTS

Each summer, spectators fill the park for the LakeFest dragboat races, an iconic event in the Highland Lakes with racing boats hitting speeds up to 260 mph. (Note: The 2025 event has been canceled, but organizers plan to bring it back in 2026.)

During the holidays, Walkway of Lights transforms Lakeside Park into a winter wonderland that sparkles and glows and lights up the lake. The holiday display includes an ice skating rink.

Lakeside Park is located at 305 Buena Vista Drive in Marble Falls. Visit the city of Marble Falls website for more information.
