Celebrate Independence Day 2025 across the Highland Lakes with fireworks, parades, live music, and more. Big-bang bashes are set to go off in Kingsland, Marble Falls, Llano, Johnson City, and Spicewood.

Here’s where to go for red, white, and blue shows:

KINGSLAND

AquaBoom

July 3-5 (main events)

Kingsland’s AquaBoom is the biggest Fourth festival in the Highland Lakes. Most of the action is around July 4, but other events take place leading up to the holiday weekend. The main schedule includes:

Thursday, July 3

  • 8-11:30 p.m.—street dance (311 RM 2900)

Friday, July 4

  • 9 a.m.—children’s parade and carnival (508 RM 2900)
  • 10 a.m.—grand parade (RM 2900)
  • 11 a.m.—Lake Area Rods & Classics car show (204 RM 2900)

An arts-and-crafts show and children’s activities take place throughout the day at 1136 RR 1431.

At 4 p.m., the official AquaBoom Watch Party begins at the RM 2900 bridge and includes food vendors, a rubber ducky race, a concert by The Motts, a boat parade, and fireworks over Lake LBJ at dark.

Saturday, July 5

  • 9 a.m.—golf tournament (105 Rangeway Circle)
  • 10 a.m.—barbecue cook-off (3451 Rose Hill Drive)

The action then moves to Wakepoint LBJ, 14757 RR 1431 West:

  • Noon—washer toss competition
  • 1 p.m.—hot dog-eating contest
  • 3 p.m.—cornhole tournament
  • 7-10 p.m.—Donkey Daze concert
  • Dark—fireworks show

MARBLE FALLS

Lake Marble Falls fireworks

July 4

The Marble Falls Parks and Recreation Department celebration at Lakeside Park, 305 Buena Vista Drive, includes:

  • 1-5 p.m.—free swimming at Lakeside Pool
  • 5 p.m.—vendors open
  • 7 p.m.—live music
  • 9:15 p.m.—fireworks over Lake Marble Falls

LLANO

Rock’N Riverfest

July 6

Llano’s riverside festival features kayak racing, vendors, live music, family-friendly fun, and a fireworks show at Robinson City Park, 123 Robinson Park Drive.

The “Local Legends Music Series” lineup is:

  • 11 a.m.—Nick Dooley
  • 1 p.m.—Sam Williams
  • 3 p.m.—Cadillac Gypsies
  • 5 p.m.—Matt & the Mikes
  • 7 p.m.—Gineille Harvey

Another fireworks show is July 4 at Badu Park, 300 Legion Drive.

JOHNSON CITY

4th Fest

July 4

Johnson City’s Independence Day festivities start with a parade at 10 a.m. from the high school, 505 N. Nugent Ave., and continue later in the day with a street band and fireworks at dark at the Blanco County Annex, 101 E. Cypress St.

SPICEWOOD

Krause Springs fireworks

July 4

The nature park and campground, 424 CR 404, hosts a free fireworks show at dark, but get there before the gates close at 8 p.m. Other good viewing spots are Spicewood Elementary School, 1005 Spur 191, or along CR 412 near Krause Springs.
