Lakeside Park on the shore of Lake Marble Falls is a year-round recreation destination.

With the wide lawn of lush green grass and no shortage of sunshine, it’s a place the entire family can enjoy. The huge lawn is never crowded (except for Fourth of July or LakeFest!) and is the perfect place to run around and explore. You can even feed the ducks and geese, if that’s your thing.

As a lakeside park, it features plenty of water activities. Wriggle your toes in the sandy beach or jump into Lake Marble Falls. The park includes a roped-off swimming area so you can enjoy the lake without worrying about boats and other watercraft.

If swimming in the lake isn’t your thing, the city of Marble Falls operates at swimming pool at the park. It features a diving board, a waterslide, and a wading pool with a mushroom water feature for the little ones. The pool operates during the summer from May to late August.

Each summer, spectators fill the park for the LakeFest dragboat races, an iconic event in the Highland Lakes. Competitors from across the nation bring unbelievably fast boats — we’re talking speeds over 260 mph — to race.

During the holidays, Lakeside Park truly brightens up. Walkway of Lights transforms the park into a winter wonderland that sparkles and glows. The annual Christmas lights display is organized by the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce as a gift to the community.

The city of Marble Falls hosts an ice skating rink near the display during the holidays.

The park welcomes walkers on a trail that winds its way along the shore and beach. Anglers even have a little space to drop a line. Bring a lawn chair to wait for the fish to bite.

Lakeside Park is located at 305 Buena Vista Drive in Marble Falls. Visit the city of Marble Falls website for more information.
